TotalEnergies in Myanmar

TotalEnergies EP Myanmar is an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company and has been present in Myanmar since 1992.

TotalEnergies EP Myanmar is the Operator of Yadana Gas Field in M5 and M6 offshore blocks holding 31.2% interest in the Yadana Consortium along with its partners MOGE, Chevron and PTTEP. The Yadana Consortium produces gas from the offshore Yadana Gas Field since 1998. It currently supplies the gas to generate more than 50% of the electricity to Yangon while exporting around 550 MMSCFD to Thailand (~12% of the Thai gas consumption).

TotalEnergies EP Myanmar is also the development Operator of the A-6 deep offshore block holding 40% interest. Together with its partners Woodside and MPRL, TotalEnergies EP Myanmar is currently conducting development studies and surveys while, in parallel, seeking commercial agreements required to develop the A-6 discovery.

TotalEnergies EP Myanmar is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a core policy embedded in its operations. It prescribes Ethics and Compliance, HSE, Code of Conduct and Voluntary Principles on Safety and Human Rights principles to all stakeholders, while maintaining one of the most advanced human resources policies in Myanmar. As part of its commitment towards Myanmar and its local communities, TotalEnergies EP Myanmar has implemented since 1995 major Socio-Economic programs in the pipeline area to improve health, enhance access to education and skills development, access to energy, economic development through microfinance, etc. Such programs benefit 33 villages with a population of around 45,000 people. Throughout the years, these programs have become a world-class reference in terms of CSR as well as an asset for Myanmar. TotalEnergies EP Myanmar also develops nationwide CSR programs and is actively promoting responsible business practices.
